The Challenge

HOLON, a company within the BENTELER Group, set out to transform urban mobility with The HOLON urban, a fully autonomous Level 4 shuttle. To ensure a safe and seamless passenger experience, HOLON needed a partner capable of delivering an intelligent information and connectivity system that could meet strict automotive standards, integrate with its cloud-based ecosystem, and adapt to deployments across multiple regions. The key challenge was to build trust and comfort for passengers traveling without a driver, while maintaining real-time communication and operational reliability.

The Solution

Passengera provided a complete onboard information and connectivity solution based on its proven multi-service Gateway platform. This system serves as the central hub for all data, connectivity, and communication functions within the vehicle. It manages content on internal and external displays, delivers real-time visual and audio information, interfaces with safety systems, and connects seamlessly to the HOLON Cloud for fleet-wide management.

Designed for scalability and security, the solution supports both fixed-route and on-demand operations, instantly adapting route information and passenger updates in real time. Every component was developed and validated to meet the highest automotive-grade security and reliability requirements.

The collaboration accelerated HOLON’s development and global rollout, starting with pilot operations in Hamburg and upcoming deployments in the United States and the Middle East.
