Connecting Georgia’s Railways for the Future
Passengera powers the next generation of onboard connectivity for Georgian Railways
Passengera is proud to be delivering a comprehensive connectivity upgrade for Georgian Railways’ Stadler KISS trains - setting a new benchmark for passenger Wi-Fi and digital services in the region.
The outdated onboard Wi-Fi system is being replaced with a robust, future-ready connectivity solution that makes smart use of existing components to optimize costs while utilizing mobile operators’ 5G networks through multiple modems for high-speed connectivity.
The new setup includes intelligent load balancing and advanced traffic management, ensuring that every passenger enjoys a smooth online experience - even on Georgia’s busiest rail route, Tbilisi-Batumi, connecting key regions across the country.
At the heart of the project is Passengera’s MMS (Management and Monitoring System), a unified platform for centralized management, monitoring, and diagnostics of all network elements. The platform is vendor-independent, providing Georgian Railways with the flexibility to integrate and expand their onboard systems with ease.
The solution’s open and modular architecture is designed for the future, enabling seamless expansion with onboard infotainment and other digital passenger services as the railway continues its modernization journey.
This project marks another step forward in Passengera’s mission to empower transport operators with smarter, more efficient, and passenger-centric connectivity solutions worldwide.
